Im suppose to be getting a screen protector for my phone and I don't want prints to show.what do I do?

I just got a new phone from cricket and they didn't have any screen protectors for my phone.They said come in the next day to get it.There's fingerprints on my phone but I dont want them to show when the protector is on.What do I do to not have them show?
