Win7 Ultimate password policy requirements...?

Alrighty... so I got a fingerprint reader for my machine, and I wanted to use its randomly generated password feature, but every time I try to use its generated password (btw, the pw is 85 characters, and has upper, lower, and numbers!) windows says that the password does not meet the password policy requirements. I know for a fact that windows cant require a password to be longer than 85 characters by default, and I have at least 1 character from the before-mentioned groups. Anyone know what I am missing here? I am sure I have just overlooked something, but I am completely stumped as to what it is...
