Should I Stop being friends with him ?

I have this boy who used to be my bestfriend for like 4 yrs now. But we're now in hs and he lie so much , nobody likes him and he tells alotta people secrets. Every since he been running his mouth he been losing friends slowly. I don't wanna drop him b/c everbody else did but I don't believe I can trust him like I could back than either. He snaked me out a few times but it was nothing major , everybod likes me and always tell me I need to drop him. Should I ? If so how am I suppose to ?
