Okay i never need guy help but how do i get this one ?

okay, ive been talking to this guy for quite a while now, and at school we always are together and we hug and hold hands somtimes, hes off to colledge this summer but right now we are still talking and he tells me he wants to be more than friends but is scared to see what happends if we are together while while hes in colledge, but his colledge is literally a mile from me. his exact words were " i just dont want us to be a summer fling, because most relationships like this dont last. but he is amazing and EVERY thing i want in a guy, and he has alotta girl friends he hangs with alot so im kinda scared, soo what do i do? how can i make him wanna be my boy friend?
