I burned my fingers, will my fingerprint come back?

I was roasting marshmallows yesterday and i touched the metal stick and burned the tips of three of my fingers. They are now completely smooth and i was just wondering if the print will come back. I was also wondering, will it come back differently? or is it a set genetic thing?
