How to store and maintain Les Paul?

I just bought a Les Paul and Im just curious if theres any particular way to store it too prevent it getting like rust and neck bending from humidity. I heard if I leave fingerprints and stuff on the finish it will turn into permanent scratches. im just kind of worried because my room is kinda humid and hot and i just leave my guitar on a stand and im worried if it will damage it
