If i cut my finger and it scars will that make me a new fingerprnit?

Ok so i was think in if some one who is a criminal and he trys to make a new identity and he needs a new fingerprint right,so if he gets busted or something he just takes a kinfe,razorblade,ect and cut up part of his finger so that when they take him in and fingerprint him nothing shows up
